About Dr. Kazemi
Dr. Kazemi is a board certified oral and
maxillofacial surgeon. He received his dental degree from the
University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine in 1990,
graduating in the top 5% of the class. Following a one year internship
at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, he pursued
surgical training at The Washington Hospital Center in Washington,
D.C., where he received his certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial
Surgery. For the next two years, he was an associate with Drs. Krupp
and Spector in Towson, MD, where he received additional training and
exposure to facial cosmetic surgery. Dr. Kazemi began his current
practice in downtown Bethesda, MD, in 1997, practicing full spectrum
oral and maxillofacial surgery with emphasis on dental implants and
facial cosmetic surgery. He continues close working relationships with
Drs. Krupp and Spector, and together they have made great advancements
in the field of facial cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Kazemi is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and
Maxillofacial Surgeons, and an active member of the American
Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and American College of
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. In addition, he is a member of the
American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Locally, he has served as the
founder and president of several dental study clubs, and he maintains
an active involvement with the D.C. Dental Society and Southern
Maryland Dental Society. Dr. Kazemi lectures regularly on many
different topics, specifically on Dental Implants.
As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon and a triathlete, Dr. Kazemi has
gained great interest in sports related oral and facial injuries. He
is a consultant to D.C. United, the major soccer league team in
Washington, D.C. and he is also a consultant to the US national soccer
team and the United States Olympic committee for the care of their
athletes. He has become increasingly active in sports injury
prevention programs for local schools and is a founder and organizer
of run/walk events benefiting different charity organizations. |

Dr. Kazemi is on staff at The Washington
Hospital Center, Suburban Hospital and Kernan General Hospital.
He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial
Surgery, American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and
American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He is also an active member of
many of the local dental societies and study clubs. |
